Privacy Policy

Structure is operated by Birthday Guy, LLC (“Structure,” “we,” “our,” or “us”), a Colorado limited liability company. Structure is an integrated personal development system covering four disciplines: health (Sōma), relationships (Philia), learning (Logos), and skills (Technē). This policy applies to our website, mobile apps, and related services (collectively, the “Service”).

We collect only what we need to operate the Service. Specifically:

• Account information. Your email address and (optionally) your name, used for authentication and to personalize the app.
• Health data you enter. Pantry items, recipes, nutrition preferences, workouts, and goals.
• Apple Health data, if you connect it. We only read Apple Health after you grant permission. We then sync your workouts (including heart rate and, for outdoor workouts, the route you took), steps, active energy, exercise minutes, resting heart rate, sleep, and body weight to our servers so they appear in Structure. We never write to Apple Health.
• Relationship data. Contacts you add, tier assignments, reminders, and notes. We do not import your device address book unless you initiate the import.
• Things you save. Links, posts, photos, videos, notes, and files you save to Space or share into Structure, plus what Structure extracts from them.
• Reading data. Books you add and the progress you log.
• Skills data. Categories, modules, practice sessions, and assessment results you log.
• Device data. A push notification token for your device, so we can keep your data in sync and send the reminders you turn on.

We do not collect your location outside of the workout routes described above, read your contact list without your consent, collect advertising identifiers, or track you across other apps and websites.

We use the information above to:

• Provide, personalize, and improve the Service.
• Generate AI-assisted content (nutrition labels, passage questions, practice suggestions) using the data you explicitly hand to those features.
• Send transactional email (sign-in codes).
• Maintain security, prevent abuse, and debug issues.
• Comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising or cross-context behavioral profiling.

When you save something to Space, import a recipe, or use another AI-assisted feature, we send the content you submitted to an AI model through Vercel’s AI Gateway. Depending on the task, the model is provided by Anthropic, Google, or OpenAI. These providers process the content on our behalf to return a result.

Content you do not explicitly submit to these features is never sent to an AI provider.

We share information only with service providers who help us run the Service, each bound by a data processing agreement:

• Vercel — hosting, edge delivery, and file storage (Vercel Blob).
• PlanetScale — managed Postgres database.
• Resend — transactional email delivery.
• Anthropic, Google, and OpenAI, through Vercel’s AI Gateway — AI processing of content you submit (see AI processing).
• Parallel — reading the web pages you save so Structure can summarize them.
• Apple — push notifications and, if you connect it, Apple Health data on your device.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights, or in connection with a merger or acquisition (in which case we will notify you).

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove your personal data from production systems within 30 days and from encrypted backups within 90 days, except where we are legally required to retain it (for example, financial records).

You can delete your account and its data at any time from Settings in the app. To get a copy of your data or correct it, email privacy@s-t-r-u-c-t-u-r-e.com. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to:

• Request a copy of your data in a portable format.
• Object to or restrict certain processing.
• Withdraw consent where we rely on it.
• Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (EU/UK/EEA residents).
• Opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information (California, Colorado, Virginia, and similar states) — though we do not sell or share your information for cross-context advertising.

We will respond to verified requests within 30 days.

We protect your information with industry-standard measures: TLS in transit, encryption at rest, short-lived authentication tokens, least-privilege access, and regular dependency updates. No online service can be perfectly secure, but we work hard to keep yours private.

Structure is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the U.S. Where required, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards.

Structure is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy as the Service evolves. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or in-app before the changes take effect. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
